Numismata
NUMISMATA has been in existence for more than 50 years and has developed into one of the world's leading coin exchanges, bringing together collectors, dealers and investors from all over the world. What began in Munich in 1970 is now an international platform for numismatics.
Our Origins
The very first Numismata took place in Munich in 1970, in a modest 400 square metre side room of the Löwenbräukeller. It was created at the request of local collectors whose goal was to share their passion for coins and create better opportunities for buying, selling and exchanging numismatic treasures.
From these beginnings, Numismata quickly gained popularity. What began as a meeting for a handful of motivated dealers and collectors soon expanded, both in terms of exhibition space and visitor numbers. Over the decades, Numismata has become a trusted name and a very significant event in the numismatic world.
From Munich to the World
1970Munich

Numismata expands to Berlin, creating another strong platform for numismatics in Germany.2004Frankfurt

Numismata now has more than 300 exhibitors and thousands of visitors, making it one of the most important international trade fairs in the numismatic world with two strong locations – Munich and Berlin.
